The front edge uses two types of connected fabric: a tattered fabric that goes all the way around, and a Japanese pattern depicting the nature of the four seasons that symbolize Japan, such as peonies, wild chrysanthemums, cherry blossoms, autumn leaves, and waves standing in the darkness of the night.
